LAKE WOODRUFF NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

Every year in early August, Swallow-tailed Kites gather in the hundreds to start their migration to South America.  I have never seen the gathering, but many around here have.  I went the refuge Sunday morning to see if they were there.  Only one on the refuge.  Birdlife was a minimum, with butterflies and dragonflies the majority of the entertainment.

LAKE CITY, COLORADO AND OTHER WANDERINGS

I flew out to Colorado for a couple days and drove back to Florida.  I had the opportunity to photograph some big game and a couple life birds.  Everything is from the Lake City area except the Pronghorn Antelope and Black Bear.
