BUTTERFLIES AND A MOTH

Butterflies continue to be the major target around our property.  These are only the good specimens, no point is photographing the ragged ones.

LAKE WOODRUFF NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

Every year in early August, Swallow-tailed Kites gather in the hundreds to start their migration to South America.  I have never seen the gathering, but many around here have.  I went the refuge Sunday morning to see if they were there.  Only one on the refuge.  Birdlife was a minimum, with butterflies and dragonflies the majority of the entertainment.

LAKE CITY, COLORADO AND OTHER WANDERINGS

I flew out to Colorado for a couple days and drove back to Florida.  I had the opportunity to photograph some big game and a couple life birds.  Everything is from the Lake City area except the Pronghorn Antelope and Black Bear.
