MONARCH BUTTERFLIES

We believe in helping with Monarch conservation.  We have two kinds of milkweed on the property.  The Monarchs are migrating south and deposited eggs on our plants the last couple of weeks.  We have about 40 caterpillars stripping the leaves off the 12 or so plants on our property.  Here are some photos of larvae and an adult.

RED-TAILED HAWK

Had a nice Red-tailed Hawk come over the house this morning.  We only see them once in a while in the summer.  Fall to spring, they are fairly common.
